BUFFALO, NY — We are no stranger to Library and Community Focuses construction projects here at Resetartis Construction. However, the Crane Branch Library located on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo was an especially fun project for us simply due to the unique nature of the build and the challenges it presented.
The $1,300,000 project was completed in the summer of 2022 with the purpose of providing a new ADA compliant bathrooms and exposed elevator access that lead to their second floor community meeting area.
A project like this of course comes with some challenges, such as there being no staging area, the construction has to be done in phases as the library remained open during construction, and city sidewalks could not be obstructed. Despite these obstacles, our team rose to the occasion and delivered for not only the Crane Branch Library but for the local community that enjoys it.
When you are in the area, stop in and check out one of the most unique features of this build. The 2 floor elevator is encased in glass exposing the inner workings to the public and is showcased right in the entryway when you walk in!
